Dr Perera has been a member of the QGP team since 2003, initially joining as a salaried GP and becoming a partner in 2005. She trained at Bristol Medical School where she also attained a BSc in Psychology in 1990. She worked in Emergency Medicine for 1 year before completing a diploma in Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases in 1995. She worked in South Africa for 1 year as a Medical Officer covering all specialities. She completed her General Practice training in 2001. She is Adult Safeguarding Lead, Prescribing Lead and is a GP Trainer.
