Practice Wins Teaching Award

We are proud to share news of our teaching award. Dr Patrick Hutt received a special award from Queen Mary Medical School for his contribution to teaching over the last 5 years. The award is based on consistent positive student feedback over successive years.

This recognition is especially meaningful given that the period of feedback includes the height of the pandemic. The practice opted to continue its teaching programme through the pandemic. Many of our students were stranded and isolating around the world. Students from Canada, Turkey, Malaysia and many parts of the UK continued their two weekly placements at Queensbridge Group Practice.

The practice is incredibly grateful to all the patients who have taken time to speak with our students and share their expeirences – both in person and remotely. These encounters are the highlight of the student’s placements and leave lasting impressions on the doctors of tomorrow.

2023 has been a special year as international exchanges have restarted. We have been priviledged to host colleagues from Japan keen to learn more about UK primary care. We were also priviledged to have Dr Alexander Kalache – former head of ageing for the World Health Organisation– attend the practice to teach our GP Trainees about global health and ageing.

Currently the practice teaches 1st year students and 4th year undergraduates. The practice also has 4 GP Trainers – Dr Woolridge, Dr Perera, Dr Hutt and Dr Kugathas.

Thank you for your continued support.
