We are proud to announce that our practice has been awarded the Green Impact for Health Award 2025. This reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable healthcare. The entire team has worked together to make meaningful changes across the practice including:

• Increasing use of recycled A4 paper
• Installing and using appropriate recycling bins
• Improving clinical waste and clinical bin collection practices
• Reducing electricity consumption
• Ensuring sockets are switched off before leaving
• Shutting down computers at the end of each day
• Avoiding unnecessary water usage
• Reducing printed materials, including using minimal patient leaflets
• Scanning documents and sending them electronically
• Advising patients to return unused inhalers to their pharmacy
• Checking stock before ordering new items (“Think before you order”)
• Minimising the number of paper letters sent out
• Clear signage above confidential waste points to support correct disposal

These steps highlight our dedication to making the practice greener more efficient and more environmentally responsible. We will continue working together to build on these improvements and support a healthier planet for our community.
